Remote Work and Wellness

The benefits of remote work are plentiful and well-documented.

But, remote work also requires extra levels of attention and personal responsibility for self-care.

You may not realize how much you depended on the serendipitous interactions and water cooler chat for energy until they’re not there anymore.

If you’re working remote: take care of yourself, get out of the house, go for a walk, strike up a conversation at the coffee shop.

The flexibility of remote work is only worth it if you’re able to fight off the slow burn toward isolation.

Fellow remote workers, don’t forget to:

  • 🚶‍♀️ Go for a walk & get some fresh air
  • 🤝 Talk to a stranger
  • ☕️ Schedule a coffee or lunch at least 1/wk
  • 📆 Join a Meetup or local org and attend regularly
  • 📹 Consider making that phone call a video chat
